SKUNK2 STAGE 2 CAMS
I put some skunk2 stage 2 cams, valve springs, and retainers in my type r. I was just wondering if anyone has had any expeirence with these cams or even any dyno sheets with hp gains after upgrading. Also, im curious what people rev these cams to. I was told they build power to 9-10k rpms.
thanks Chris

Vteckidd-do you have any personal expeirence with these cams?
b19 coupe- did they lose power around 85?or is that just when u let off?
my buddy had them in his ctr previously, but he never chipped the ecu to be able to rev past 8600
he claims he felt the second powerband kick in at 8500 or something like that(idk though)...just trying to get some opinions...they didnt seem to make a big difference in his ctr so im sceptacle.

Shawn had his foot on the floor to 8,800-the motor peaked at 8,100 or so.

On a stock ITR head and bottom end? What are you trying to accomplish?
You want a motor that makes power at 9,000-10,000?
You need to beef up the bottom end, port the head, get an intake manifold that peaks really high, engine management and fuel system upgrades that will allow the motor to run that high. A very good header and exhaust are also a must. Then you can run huge cams and rev all day long. My street car makes lots of power and I only have to rev it to 9,000, but my engine peaks at 8,660.

ive tuned two cars on S2S2 cams and both were amking peak power at around 8300 rpms. this will change on ur setup. once u have a good flowing head u will be able to make peak power at a higher rpm
