Window Wont Roll Up
Ok my problem is the drivers side front window will roll down fine but won't roll back up. Well we kept trying and trying as the first time it did this it finally rolled up. Well it wouldn't roll up so we took the door panel off tapped on the motor and still wouldn't work. It rolls down fine but won't roll up. With prying on the window while working the switch we finally got it up but still need to get it fixed. I think it is the switch instead of the motor one of the only interior parts I don't have a spare of Any idea where I can get the switch for it or do I have to replace that whole piece? How much should I be looking to spend?
Not slow windows as I have had that problem before. It wont budge at all. If you push really hard on the switch and keep trying sometimes it will work but not usually. I have all the door panel and speaker and everything off as I was trying to get to the motor to try tapping it. The motor seemed like it was ok and tapping it didn't do anything.
I'm also not real impressed with how Honda used cheap *** plastic case for the motor. I like the metal casing the american cars I've worked on had.

You'll probably have to replace the entire regulator assembly then, not just the switch. You can find them on eBay for around $50
I believe brake cleaner on the tracks works really well because it is not residual rather than some silicon lubricant.
Also a q-tip is your friend.

I had the same problem with a 96 Accord and it was the switch. Try spraying electrical contact cleaner into the switch and seat/re-seat it onto the wiring harness a few times. If that doesn't help you can probably get one from a junkyard.
Also, if you have a multimeter you can probably figure out whether the switch is working or not.

i had a similar problem on my 96 accord lx. the window always was slow, and it eventually stopped working like yours. they replaced the regulator, and it worked, but still went slow and would require some pulling to get all the way up sometimes. i had it checked out by my mechanic, and he could not figure out what was wrong. he said something was binding up, but couldn't tell what it was. if anyone has any ideas, i'd appreciate it.
well that' the problem ... the tracks are dirty. i bet when it rains the go up with no problem. thats how i knew it was the tracks and not the regulator. does anyone know what is the name of the brake cleaner? i mean the one that works the best
my buddy has a simmilar problem in his honda, on the passenger side the window will roll all the way down but wont roll back up so he gots to roll it up with his driver side switch, if he dosent roll it back up he can still roll it up by pressing the switch real fast down and then up and it closes
Any brand brake cleaner will do the same thing. Use brake cleaner because it leaves no residue for dirt to stick to. Then use maybe some silicone lube and a cue-tip to lube it up a little.
In my case, the tracks had been cleaned and lubed twice, even before I got the regulator replaced. My mechanic said something was binding up, but that he couldn't figure out what. When the window's going up slowly or not moving at all, I pull it up and tilt it forward a bit, and it goes right up. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
use alcohol with some qtips to clean the rubber channels, then spray WD40 down in the corners and also spray sillicone grease spray on the rubber channels work the windows up and down a couple of times, this worked for my 97 accord,, it hasnt given me problems eversince
Oh yeah the answer to my original problem was the switch I finally gave in and bought that whole piece from Honda fricken $150 but I needed to have it so I could roll my window up and down that was all that was wrong with it for me. For the slow windows though the cleaning sounds like a good idea I've had that issue with the passenger side window and this one a little.
