Default lots of parts....little money...fair knowledge....opinons wanted

So i just bought a '95 integra with the ls motor 125k.... I also have a wrecked 94 GSR at my house (damn drunk drivers)...tranny and engine on the GSR are in perfect shape 160k (a rebuild could be necessary)..........so i have a vtec head available if i decide to try the ls/VTEC

I have been researching the ls/VTEC for a week or so straight now (countless hours) I am still not sure how difficult the process is to set this thing up....some places i read about say you need an aluminum girdle, oil squirters, new rods and bolts, tapping and threading for the oil line etc........

should i do the VTEC conversion (seems pricy even with labor, I dont think i can convert the thing alone) or shall i build the LS motor for an all motor application with nonVTEC with all of the money I saved by not switching it to VTEC(I autocross and roadcourse, no boost comments please)

I already know all of the parts involved for the VTEC conversion, I have researched this already, I just do not know the acutal process of converting the car to VTEC (how hard is it, is it something an amateur as myself should try to do myself?) btw I have 2,000 to spend right now

yes i know boosting is cheap, but it isnt cheap if something goes wrong so I am not ready for boost yet. I will stick with all motor

thanks

Just swap the GSR & tranny into the car and as money permits build up/rebuild your LS for boost.

why not just build the gsr out of the car for boost and drive the ls. No point imo of swapping the motors twice.
