Default Header question.....

I kno I want a stainless steel header........Now there are a million company tha makes em. Is goin wit the expensive Brand name coo? Or is this one of those you get what you pay for deals? 2nd question is does it make that big a deal as far as emissions? Are they smog approved like the aftermarket intakes? I mean can't U just put a header on with the OEM heat shield?

PS I stay in CA

the higher the price usually the better the header, smsp makes good headers, for most ppl dc sports is good enough, just ask whoever you buy it from if its carb legal or whatever, and i don't think you can bolt a heatsheild around an aftermarket header

also there's the matter of header design and primary piping sizes too. But for you I believe a DC header will be fine for you, specifically the 4-2-1 2-piece header.

I'm rocking the DC 4-1 in my civic. Awesome header!!!

When i first lowered my hatch, the headers would scrap like crazy cause i was so damn low to the ground. Now that ive raised it up and seen the damnage i did to them, they held up very good.

to DC for a strong header

I just looked at the megan racing 4-2-1 stainless steel header and they seem pretty cool. I jus don't know if they're carb approved. Anyone know?

If the header is going to be CARB aproved, they will advertise it. And the header will have a CARB stamp on it. Just stop playing around and get the DC ceramic. Stainless will look like **** after a few days. Or get savy and do what I did; get the DC ITR header (not CARB stamped) and do a little custom work and get a CARB stamp off of another DC header and weld it on. Can't even tell the difference if done right.
