Default Adding bazooka type subwoof to stock radio

Has anyone tried to do that? I have no idea where even to start... i had a front loading cd player in my old car and it had an rca adapter and everything... i just got my ex and i don't have that anymore. Just the stock radio and a 6 cd changer. Pain in my ****.

i'm not sure, but there should be some wires from the sub. 2 wires that splice into your rear speakers, a constant +12V, ground and one that comes on with ignition (radio)

bazooka's suck.. the woofer is like paper or something.. and it doesnt hit hard.. its more like tinny tappy bass instead of actually hitting.. i had 12's in my trunk and a better amp than my friend and he wanted to try his bazooka w/ my amp.. so i was like OK whatever.. hooked it up and blew it out in no time.... he replaced it w/ a rockford woofer which sounded a little better... i'd get a real subwoofer and amp set up if u want bass..

bazooka is more for like "fill' instead of actual hit

To answer your question you will need a line level converter to convert speaker wires to rca's.You can pick one up at Circuit City, radio shack or any car stereo shop for about 20 bucks. Also most bazooka tubes are designed to intergrate with factory stereos the same way.

I agree with Fuzznuts...man that sounds strange :D...either the powered bazooka or the infinity basslink should have the capability of using high-level (speaker level) inputs. This way, you can tap into the rear speaker wires and run them to the sub amp. Then run a power wire (fused less than 18" from the batt) to the trunk. Add a ground that is as short as possible. Then you can run a amp remote from the fuse block and you are done.
