Sometimes after I've driven my RSX for like an hour (I don't drive like a madman either), it will make this weird noise which kind of sounds simliar to when you would move a seat up. Is this a problem or just an exhausted motor? It happens often by the way...most noticably on turns I guess you could say.

bump...should this be acknowledged as a problem or just a sign that the car needs to chill out a little. I live in the city and its usually a lot of stop and go so what do you guys think?

if it happens only when u turn, i'd suspect it to be a problem with your suspension or something similar that is working improperly because something is causing it to get too warm. that's just a theory. take it to a dealership and have them take a look at it.

yep, there may be a TSB out on previous years with the same problem, might not hurt to print it out and take to dealer when u go in to have it "fixed"

though they will probably say they cannot replicate the problem and give you the run around for months, but who knows, maybe u'll get lucky and they'll fix it right away

I think there is a thread on clubrsx about your problem/noise

I have heard that there are suspension issues with the new model due to the struts and also there are a rattle that you will have that will come from the dash where the dash meets the windsheild

there are three srs connections under your seat. if you've done anything with those, make sure you reconnect them or make sure they're intact.

is the sound coming from the interior or exterior?

I have an appointment to bring my 06 in next tuesday.. the guy on the phone was like "yea we'll take it on a test drive to check out what you're saying" we'll let you know if it needs any work.... I was like man it's a common problem, you dont need to test drive. It's the bearings or something you'll need to replace. Besides it happens when you're not moving and just turn the steering wheel....
dealership people acting like they don't know..

I wonder if that windshield noise will be fixable though...

Well got my car back from the dealership and I'll quote

"C/S hears popping noise in the suspension. Test drove vehicle, found inadequate clearance btw lower spring and perch causing popping noise. As per service news, increase clearance btw spring and perch. Road tested vehicle, no abnormal noises heard."

So that's what it was on my 06 Type-S. Hope this helps the rest of you out there.
