90 accord ignition problems
i just picked up a 90'accord for cheap. the guy said the only thing wrong with the car was the fuel pump. dropped the tank and changed the fuel pump. got fuel now, but no spark. so i changed the cap rotor, wires, plugs, fuel pump, and even replaced every fuse with a new one. still no go. should i just go ahead and fork out the money for a new distributor and coil, or is there something else i should check? i even checked the park shift sensor, but nothing. what do you guys think?
remove distr cap, put key on, get a test lite chk for power at both coil wires,, you should have power, put test lite at neg side of the coil, have someone crank the engine, if lite pulsates u got a bad coil, if lite does not pulsate u got a bad ignitor ,, u can buy those separately no need to get whole distributor unless a complete reman distr is cheaper .. if u do but a reman distr make sure it comes with ignitor and coil
