Default 1983 Accord Starting Issues.

Hello all,
I have a 1983 Accord 1.8 that wont start. It died one day while I was driving down the road. I popped the hood and dug around, but did not find anything. It started up again and I made it another 4 blocks before it died. It started again the next morning, but died as soon as I gave it gas. Now it wont start at all.
I have checked the following:
Fuel Pump (and power to it)
Spark Plugs
The carb was rebuilt last year and I have had no problems with it.
Ignition coil and wires.

Now the funny thing is that when I turn it over there is no voltage going to the ignition coil. The car turns over fine and the fuel system is fine, so what might cause no voltage to the coil? I checked over the wires and they seem ok. Thanks in advance.

Check your cap/rotor.

Both the cap and rotor are fine. The issue is that the coil is not getting power when you turn the key. What controls power flow to the coil?

Does anyone have wiring diagrams for 83 accords? I need to trace the flow of power up to the ignition coil. +bump

I'm not entirely certain how the ignition setup is on your specific vehicle but it sounds like it may be a bad ignitor unit.

When my 82 dies there's no spark and after a few minutes it starts and runs fine. I'm still trying to figure it out but haven't had the time. I suspect the ignitor but not sure. Here some troublrshooting pages from the service manual. Hope this helps. When you find out let me know.
