im guessing ur GSR is stock since u didnt mention any mods. I think it would be a dead even race. if your a good drive you will probably take him off the line and win.

 

It'd stomp it if it was a type-S.

 

The fact that it's automatic makes it really easy to launch, so it's very consistent in its drag races. The GS-R is quite a bit trickier.

Mine is a 97 Bone Stock.
I knew the Type S is fast as hell...... Still waiting for the price to drop, then i'm gonna get one. Maybe IS300 5sp.......
So, it would be a dead even race with 3.2TL auto....

 

i love honda and all, but RWD is where its at... IS300

 

IS3 is cool in all but a GSR would run with it,maybe not win but it will,and the typeR would lay a dilsnicken on it.

 

i think it would be a close race between 3.2tl-s vs. is300 vs. gsr bone stock. the 3.2 has the most hp but is heavy as fak. i sctually raced a 3.2 type-s from a 30 mph rolling start and it kept up with me by half a car length up to 80 mph. i'd like to race one from a dead start.

 

If the 3.2TL is NOT a Type-S, then a GS-R should beat it. However, the 3.2TL Type-S will give a challenge to a stock GS-R. IS300 Auto is slow. I'm not sure about the 5-speeds...

Too bad the TL Type-S and IS300 don't have that much Aftermarket support, unlike the GS-R...

Hey Jfk, if my gsr can beat a tl-s, aint I able to beat a regular 3.2 tl?

 

I like the IS300 and most likely will be my next car. But I believe a GSR will beat the IS300 especailly an auto one.

 

The 5spd IS300 does 0-60 in a somewhat uninspiring 7.5 secs. And as for 6spd TL type s, well there are none. That is the *CL* type s, ie; the two door, and it just came out.
