So I was driving home tonight and the car started to make this funny noise. It sounded almost like sucking sound, like slurping. The car is running fine at this point, but the sound just slowing get louder. When I get home I pop the hood and it sounds like something aweful. The car is running, no idle surge or overheating. I grab the top radiator hose and squeeze it a bit, jiggle it, and the sounds gets slighty more quiet and the the car dies. No the car won't even start. It wants to turn over but it also makes this high pitch noise.


Any ideas?

is there white smoke comin out the back?...cud be water pump or thermostat...is ur check engine lite on...rent a scanner nd run it threw the ecu

 

no, no white smoke. Car isn't throwing a CEL. Thanks for the advice though.
