C&R radiator installed, but no pressure in radiator hose. Any idea?
Hey guys, my motor is finally done up and running again, along with installation of C&R radiator.
I have been driving around under 3000k to break-in the motor, and I notice the temperature gauge needle does show lower readings than before.
However after driving for 200 miles there is still no sign of pressure in the radiator hose. I could squeeze the hose easily with my hand even though it was a little hot.
Is this normal for aluminum radiator? I have checked there is no leak anywhere and the coolent level in the reservoir tank is still above maximum.
I have also swapped the Spoon radiator cap from the OEM radiator to the C&R for a higher coolant pressure. Why didn't the radiator hose hardened up like it did with the OEM radiator?

So your saying that the hose isn't filled with coolant when its hot? Is the tube hot or cold when you squeeze it? Is it the upper or lower hose? Try the radiator cap that came with the C&R radiator. Try a new thermastat. Just some thoughts.
Thats correct, the upper hose is not filled even when hot.
I will try the radiator cap that came with the radiator, but I doubt it would make a difference..

I have a visteon C&R and they are awesome.... it does take a little longer to heat up to normal operating temps. I used the cap that came with the C&R radiator and it is different it has a presure valve on top of it... so try that....

</TD></TR></TABLE> i had the same thing happen to me it was my thermostat its weird because my car never got extreamly hot but the water was never flowing through my motor or it was flowing really slowly check ur thermostat
