Default H22 swap in EG, speedometer problem

I swapped a 98 H22 engine/tranny and a 93 H22 ecu & dist. into my 94 ex coupe. My speedometer read like 10-15 mph higher than my actual speed when I'm travelling at like 65 mph. Is there something I needed to swap on the speed sensor when I did this swap? Any thoughts? Speedometer was off this bad with stock 14" rims and tires on the car. By the way, this is my first post, so hello all.

To get the correct speedo reading, you need to run 185-65-15 tires, or any 65-series tires on 15" rims (or 75-series tires on 14" rims). Look at any Prelude or Accord... that's the setup they run.

agreed with newman, sup man

that's why I opted for the 2001 civic stockers. Speedos will always be off (in stock form), but if you want to be as close a stock speedos for preludes, do as newman says

here's what mine h22 hybrid looks like with 2001 civic stockers

newman is partly right. but not in saying "any 65 series tire on 15 inch rims." tire size goes upon ratios. while very little difference, there still is a difference. 205/65/15s will b slightly shorter and skinnier than 225/65/15s. the wider the tire the taller with the same aspect ratio (whether its 75,70,65,60 on down).

Thanks for the info. I had thought it might be the tires but never ran the numbers (never really thought about just what size ludes come stock with)
