Default BAD Speaker wire! HELP!

Hi, my passenger side front speaker was removed today and was about to be replaced by my new type-r's. the stock speakers have never worked, and i was wondering how. I found out by putting my new ones in.

It so happens that the ground wire is perfectly fine, but when i put the right front speaker wire onto the new type-r's, they just BUZZ. The sound output from the wire seems to have been disrupted somehow. The wire is a postive RED w/ Green stripes.

What is a possible solution to this dilemma on a bad wire?! THanks all!

Try running a whole seperate wire from sterio directly to the speaker to see if you get the buzz with a different wire. If it is definitly the wire that is the problem you have two choices.
1. Run the seperate wire to the door speaker(following the other wires)
2. Try to fix the wire that is there

Number 1. sounds easier to me

Agreed. You don't want to try to trace down the OEM wire through all the plugs and sleeves it goes through. You would just be better off running a whole new one.
