Step 1
Remove the intake arm that goes over the top of the rad.

Step 2
Remove the heat shield with 12mm socket.

Step 3
Whip heat shield over fence into neighbours yard

Step 4
Look down and you will see the O2 sensor there on the side of the header.

Step 5
Get a 7/8ths wrench and get in there and loosen it. Do it carefully because you dont have much room to work with anyways. You dont want to put dents in your rad. If you have a ratchiting wrench from like Mastercraft or SnapOn you can take that and unplug the wire for the sensor and slide it down over the wire and its easier to remove it.

Then put the new one in. Tighten it up. Plug it in the harness. Replace the intake arm over the rad. Look over the fence to see if your heat shield is in a non obvious place and then start it back up.

If you have AC you will have to deal with the lines and some other crap. Forgot about that. Just work your way down below them. I removed my AC crap because it was useless to me.

The easiest way is to use the proper tool for this. An O2 sensor socket. It's basically a really deep socket with a slot in the side for the wire. They aren't cheap though...so borrow one off of a friend if possible.

wow on my 89 CRX HF it is way easier...

step 1 open hood and look down
step 2 get o2 sensor tool, rachet and 12" extension
step 3 unplug connector and remove o2 sensor

I just did this today to clean it and put some anti-sieze on the threads...

Seriously this is one of those things that Honda made just to **** you off. Some guy is going to be like, "Well it displaces 1/8th of a degree of heat thus decreacing the amount of blah blah blah and adding blah blah blah." There is no use for this part on a Honda it just gets in the way. Whipping it randomly over your shoulder is the only reason for it to exist.
