LS => Delsol swap trouble
Okay, I've swapped an LS into a DelSol. Really i have but only a few obstacles but here are some of my problems.
1)Mounting the rear. Specifically the Lbracket. Now a GSR bracket won't fit and neither will the old sohc bracket. Altho Im told that an Lbracket off a b16 should work?
2)Shift linkages. Integra shift linkages won't work, and neither will the sohc links. I'm told that the only shiftlinkage that WILL fit is a DOHC delsol shift linkage. If this is true i'll probably put an order for it at honda soon.
3)With everything in except for the previously stated when i tried starting my car when i turn the key to on the car just starts cranking. I don't even crank the key over and the starter just starts cranking over. I don't believe this is normal, correct?
Now bare with me this is my first swap. Altho i did some homework and made sure that everything was OBD1. I had some doubts with the harness but i was told that you could run off of an automatic--which is what it's wired up with as of now.
Any advice on any of the 3 problems would be appreciated, altho the 3rd is my biggest worry. i DREAD electrical problems.
Thanks

1. any dc2 and delsol vtec rear L bracket will work
2. del sol vtec only shift linkage
3. use a manual wire harness. there are more plugs on a auto then a manual. also check ignition (by the key) maybe its loose so when you try turning it, it goes to the next click already.

I did have a 5 speed harness but the plugs for the fuel injectors didn't match. And while searching for a replacement harness i was told that i COULD run off the automatic harness. (?)

I just checked. And the ignition isn't lose. I still get two clicks and then a crank. But it still cranks after the 2nd click

I don't think the automatic harness is your issue, the only difference between the two is a few sensors on the tranny, and a possible issue with reverse lights......
I have an auto wire harness in my civic from an auto to manual swap, and it works fine.

b20 swapped del sol..... used stock OBD1 del sol harness.... worked perfect... and dont not use the 5 speed harness u had just cause of the injector clips... all u need is to go to a junkyard...find wtvr obd injector clips u need... cut the two wires and rewire them up to ur existing harness....

use your original harness and cut and solder the injector harness from the auto harness to the original one.
