Ive got a JRSC on my 99 prelude and was wondering if anyone knows about the pulleys. I mean whats the bigest PSI pulley for the kit? I have a 8 psi pulley on it now which is alright.
I am also wondering what else I can do to get more HP. I have decont headers/exhaust/ignition/radiator/oil/crack case cooler/hondatas200
I am bringing it to get tuned next weekend and was planing on putting my 74mm throttle body on in place of the stock one. The tech(owner) at the place with the dyno said that wouldnt really matter. Is this true? Does anyone have any imput on that?
I would think it would allow more air thus a tad buit more HP.

 

adding the throttle body would allow more air which would allow the fuel to be turned up, it might make a few HP more when tuned.
has your car been dynoed yet? If so how much HP and Tq do u have? how long have u had the kit?
I am about to buy a JRSC for my prelude and I want to know what I should expect. there is a JRSC link in the FAQ thread that is pretty helpful but it has no SH specific details on the site.
If what people on here say is true, then you shouldnt go above 250hp with the ATTS.
y would you need more than that anyway without the ability to add LSD to help put the power to the ground all your really gonna do is spin wheels.

 

I now own a base, the sh was wrecked. I am thinking what to buy to get more power but am kindof stumped. I could get the lsd although I heard that you loose daily drivabilty like in you turns.
It is going to the dyno a week from today and I will have the sheets. I bought the car about two weeks ago and love the supercharge. The only thing is i cant find that mch info on the kits. My biggest $ is: whats the biggest(most psi) pulley JR makes for the H22 kit? My car is boosting 8psi which is enough for now.

The thottle body Im still wondering about. The guy at the shop said I could sell it and that with the supercharger it wouldnt really make a difference. I personally think it would.

 

you lose no driveability with a lsd....it only locks when you apply tq and spin one side more....

iirc the jrsc wont pump out much more than 8psi no matter what.....

do u happen to have a dyno graph that you could post PreludeRGuY?
also what parts did u replace when you did the JRSC?

 

Your saying the entire unit wont put out more than 8 psi?! I thought they made 10lb pulleys.. anyone know for sure? How disappointing.
If thats so then what does one do for more HP(w/o No2)?

Above 6-8psi the intake charge temps get too high to make more power.

 

its posted on "what jrsc are you running" at force induction section. its weak, measured on dynapack (reads lower than dynojet) 205hp & 176tq . setup: jrsc 6psi, i/h/e vafc2, msd 6a, denso iridium 1 step colder plugs, and magnecore wires. stock motor and injectors.

 

thats super low... ive seen I/H/E VAFC and the JRSC at 6psi run about 245 whp...

 

every motor is different.

 

every dyno is different. that sounds about right to me. dude who made 240 was prolly on a dynojet. The dyno you were on is more accurate.

Are you saying that the SC is week?If so what are you running as your signature says SC prelude..
If I want to keep the JRSC what else can been done to get higher numbers? WOuld I benefit from headwork? Someone told me they had head work done to there integra and loss aprox 15 hp. It was on the dyno before and after.

 

Turbo cams, a quality header like SMSP or RMF would free up a lot of power.

The turbo cams work for SC as well as turbos right?
