Default Headlights Problem

Guys, I was just looking at my friend's 6th gen Accord. It's a 98 4 cyl model. He just added an HID on his car & now when he turn on the high beam & low beam together then after that the high beam won't turn off. It just stays on. What do you guys think is the problem? Thanks guys.

He probably ran afoul of the Improbability Drive. Will it happen again? Probably.

God only knows what your "friend" did. I would seriously suggest he recheck his wiring.
What system? Any relays? You (he) hasn't given us much to work with.

Thanks for your fast reply. He didn't install it himself. The place that he bought it from is the one that did the installation for him. I'm not sure about the brand but from what he told me, he upgrade the amp from 15amp to 25amp. Could that cause the problem?

HID's are traditionally equipped with "starters", Ballasts, or Step-Up Transformers. I know of no "amps" as such. They sometimes install a power relay which uses the original headlamp circuit to activate, and allowing a direct feed from the battery to power the HID's.
IF they installed a relay in the system, They MAY HAVE wired in incorrectly, such that once excited, it stays excited.

1). Kits are bad.

2) Besides that youre not supposed to use high beams when you have the HID kit. It really wears down the HIDs.
