Hi, I'm running a 96gsr motor in a 93civic sedan, with a Aebs electric water pump, I've been running it for over a year but my car loses coolant and today it almost overheated while driving on the freeway. It went from normal temp then shot up to Hot. I think it's getting cool enough the stock thermostat is closing.
My real question is what temp does the stock thermostat open/close?
And when does (arc, spoon, mugen) thermostat open/close? All I could find is that they open at a cooler temp than stock.
Sorry soo long, Please help

Ok sounds close, I found one that said 190 fully open for stock thermostats.
And would it be safe to assume that all (mugen, spoon, arc) fully open at 160?
Anything below 169 would close the stock thermostat correct?
TIA

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind, trying to find exact specs of each one. I might just buy the thermostat because if the fan turns on at a lower temp then it might cool it off too much and the thermostat will close again.
