Default Need some ideas: b18c1 turbo

Hey i bought a 95 Vx, w/ the gsr block in need of some work. it needs to be resleeved.. i was told by some that running a stock internal b18c1 w/ a good tune would be fine.. others tell me that i should bore it out to a 2.0, and put after market pistons in it, to get like 9-0 compression. The car came with a hondata p28, and a stock p72.. which one should i run w/ the turbo..? anything helps, and if you need more info i will be glad to give ty

Run the hondata and take it to a dyno to get it tuned for your setup when you figure out what that is and the car is running.

If you are on a tight budget then you can just leave it at stock bore size and upgrade just the pistons and rods. You'd have to get the cylinders honed but if thye aren't too damaged or anything, then you can leave it with stock cylinders. Sleeving the motor adds about another $800-$1000 to the cost of the motor build up. The extra displacement will allow you to make a little more power and TQ. So if you can afford it, I say go for it.

He's sayin the block already is in the need to be sleeved for whatever reason.

I would bore .02 over and get like 9:1 pistons.
