CV shaft problem
93 Civic DX

113,000 miles
H22 bound real soon
Alright check it out,
My car's cv boots dry rotted from Rita. Bought new cv shafts replaced them myself at work.
(The Test Drive)
Everything was all good for the first 7 to 8 miles then all of sudden there is smoke in the car and in the back of the car and starts acting like the tranny is slippen. I stopped and looked under the car and ther was tranny fluid all under the car. I thought it was just the cv shaft seals. Towed the car to work.
Put my car on the rack at work the next day and found the thedriverside cv shaft was not all the way in the tranny. Pulled it off and the snap ring on the end of the inner spline
was missing Fu%$in auto store didnt even have a ring on the end of the spline and half the spline was stripped away.Got another axle under warranty.Did a tranny service to get any metal that could have went in there.Checked th spline in the tranny to make sure it wasn't stripped neither. It was all good.Replaced the shaft and the seals(Bla BLa Bla).
(Test Drive 2)
Made it 7 or 8 miles again Car does the same thing except it didnt smoke it was just slippen. Looked the car and the same axle the outer boot was all busted and really fucked up and it popped out the tranny again
Dont really know whats could be going on with this.
I made sure the cv were all the way in the tranny and tighten everything back to factory torque. Kinda stumped now. Gonna put it back on the rack at work and get another new shaft and see what the hell is goin on
