CV Axle Won't go in Transmission
Heres my problem.
My driver side CV shaft wont go into the tranny.
The shaft is perfectly fine, no rips, or anything. I was making a slight turn one night and it popped out, so I tried an on-the-spot repair to pop it back in, but it refuses to go in all the way.
At the end of the intermediate shaft that connects to the tranny, there are 3 sections- the splines at the end; a smooth, 'similar-in-size' to the splines end, middle; and a smooth, fatter part in the beginning.
The splines and the smooth 'same-size-as-the-spline-end' part go into the tranny just fine, but it stops there. The fatter end doesn't even touch the tranny at all. It refuses to go in.
The ring is still in tact. What could the problem be?!

Re: CV Axle Won't go in Transmission (D'PEXi)
Sometimes it just takes a good push at the right angle...get a friend to help you and just try for a little, eventually it'll go in (assuming nothing is damaged or messed up)
