New Battery, Brands/Sizes and so on...
Well my battery is finally going to hell (had the GSR for 3.5 Years, so I dont know exactly how old this battery is)
I'm going to relocate the battery to the Hatch, so physical size dosent matter. I'm pushing a large stereo system and other varios electronic components so I need something more powerfull then the stock sizes.
So, what Brands and Sizes should I be looking at?
After some research I've heard that the Optima's are the best... however,
I'm comparing the Optima Yellow Top D51R and the Interstate MT-51R... the spec's on both of them look exactly the same... but Interstate is 1/2 the price.
What makes the Optimas so much better?
Others, thoughts?
Thanks all!

Thats your best choice unless you want a performance one.

and if your gonna relocate the battery you can get a full size instead of the 51 series, id get the full size yellow top but the interstate is a good battery also.
the optima's are fully sealed, dont require venting, can be installed in any position, the deep cycle is good if you run a large stereo system, so the little extra you pay for the optima is worth it imo

its used mainly in marine applications because you can bring the battery from 0 charge to a full charge over and over again, with a regular battery you cant.

You can get a battery hydrometer and test the amps. I think the normal voltage should be 12.6 and worse case scenario no lower than 9.6. If it is lower than that, you need a new battery, but if not you can get your battery serviced and charged. I personally, have an Optima that I paid 150$$ for and I am satisfied.

Is the "Deep Cycle" really nessesary? It seems like the only thing it's for is to die completly then recharge fully over and over again.
If it's in your car, when will it ever drain all the way down?
