Default headunit trick

The stereo on a 1990 honda accord is too low for me, so i decided, i would move it up, i got an idea to put the head unit ontop of the dash all together, so for the encloser im going to get a large peice of styrofoam and holo it out to fit the headunit than im going model it too look nice and match the rest of the dash. and i was wonderign if paper mache is a good cover for it? it gets pretty hard when its dry, and should stand up to sunlight. So than as the last step i would paint it to match the dash color and string the wires out of sight. should come out nice. what you guys think? post or

circuit city sells a kit to mount your radio underneath your dash, it will work just as well on top of your dash, and bound not to be as gangster

paper mache is for 4th grade art class. circuit doews sell that underdash kit, but theres really nowhere to mount it on an accord. try some fiberglass work at least.

Come on, paper mache would be great! Just be sure to take pictures of it when you're done and post pictures, in case anybody else here wants to try it.

i don't know the actual dimensions, but it maybe easier if you buy the scosche universal mounting tray and just turn it upside down. then cover it with anything you like.

I have to say you should at least do fiberglass or something. If I were you I would break out the spraypaint and buy that scosche kit.

I give you props for your creativity. Although I predict it will look like ***. Get that Scoche(sic) kit at least.
