what is the normal Intake Air Temperature on a stock d16y8? Mine is reading 250 degrees and that seems high.

Not sure but I suppose it would have something to do with outside temp as well. What is the outside temp when you took that reading?

In for the answer too cuz I wanna know.

it's usually about the outside temp + more if the engine bay is hot, but I wouldn't think more than 10-15 degrees.

so unless it's about 235 degrees where you live, something is wrong.

also, do you have a short ram intake? that could be why the reading is so high if it's sucking in hot engine bay air.

Did you install an autometer gauge? Where did you install the sending unit to take this measurement? It's going to read higher if you have a short ram. If you have a cold air it's going ot read much lower.

there is no average temp. the temp that it's reading is going to be directly related to the air around it.

thus you will get different readings if you live in alaska vs if you lived in south florida.

I guess to answer your question you would have to do some math and average the temperature of every spot on earth. then add a few degrees for the motor running.
