Default JDM B16A1 question...

I recently purchased a JDM B16A1 motor. Found out the motor use to be attached to a auto tranny. Can I run the motor with a manual tranny(JDM J1 tranny)? I also have a manual ECU. Also will the motor be as fast as a manual motor? Thanks.

I assume so but I heard that the valve springs are different, not too sure though.

Default Don't see why not....

...You'll have to get a flywheel, but aside from that it should bolt right up. I don't think there is any difference in the motor itself with an auto, just the ECU and tranny/flex plate.

it will work and you know that since it was a auto it was not ran as hard as a manual...
