Default Tach Reads Higher Than engine Output

Hello guys i noticed my 94 vetc Tach has been acting up, Only Does it sometimes but it will Read Higher RPM than the engine really is producing, then i drive it around for a while and the thing will work it self out over time/ if im lucky

I i try to turn the car off, then turn it back on it will still read higher

Then all of the sudden the needle will jerk, and it will go back to the normal RPM reading...

1 point of interest: It never Goes Dead(0k) if the car it running only Up higher...
Also Im Having that Hesitation/Bog At 2-3k rpms, Apples and Oranges?

please help this poor N00b out!!

Default Re: Tach Reads Higher Than engine Output (VoLCoM26)

well, my tach is off, by about 300 rpm at 4k, and about 800 rpm at redline.... so i dunno why.. you could adjust them, but i have a VAFC, so it tells me the right engine speed.. so i dont really look at my tach..
