LS vtec, starts, idles good. rev limit at 2100 rpms. need ideas....
im lost as to what to try. i try checkign the cel but its a solid code. which i think means a faulty ecu if i remember right. but i used this ecu in a freinds car and it worked perfectly fine. could it be soemthing in the program i have? there was a 2 step set up in the bin, but that was at like 3800 rpms.
3 months ago or so. it was in a civic with an EX swap, running a stock p28 program. now i have just a basemap in there for my ls vtec. but i tried runnign a stock p72 program to, and same thing..

A bad ECU (code zero) is indicated by a CEL while it's running, but the CEL turns OFF when you jumper the SCS connector.
A good ECU with no codes stored, the CEL comes on solid when you jumper the SCS connector.

ok, i think there is a short in my ecu somewhere.. this really sucks. no idea how to find where its shorting.. i checked all of the connections inside, where i soldered everything, etc. and now its throwing a code for iac, vtec pressure, and TPS
when i jump the harness to get the cel, at first when i turn the key to run, it will start blinking the codes, then soemthing clicks, the cooling fan coems on for a second, then a solid cel.. soemthing is definately shorting out..
