what turbo setup
I am looking to buy a turbo setup for my 99 Si, and was wondering if anyone has or has heard about the turbonetics kit for the B16. I like the T3/T4 hybrid its a good turbo so that has caught my eye but wanted some more input from you all. any help is greatly appreciated.
everyone will ask you what are your goals before you pic your turbo. I recommend a custom turbo kit rather than a pre-assembled. They tend to be cheaper and better.

I recommend pre fabbed kits when peopel ask questions like what turbo should I get because obviously they havent done any research so a custom kit will be too much of a hassle. I did my research for a good year and I STILL went with a pre-fabbed kit for my first setup so I could learn the basics. Then my second time around I had the knowledge to customize a kit

See im not new to turbos and upgrading, just hondas and how they take boost, Ive already heard endless people say how weak the b series block is but I am going to do somthing about that before the kit is put on. again thanks for any info.
a b-series low milage and well kept block is not weak. There are many here running 10psi on stk blocks with no trouble. Most run the stock block and crank with forged internals (rods & pistons) so I wouldn't trust those endless people. It's all in the tunning. If you go with a vafc hack then yes you'll have reliability issues but if you use chrome/uberdata/hondata/aem ems/whatever you'll be ok if you maintain the engine. Just do research. H-T is your friend if you treat her right
If you want to run over 12psi at any more than a 81.5 bore then you will need to get her sleeved until then a stock block will be fine.
fine print (b20's excluded)

well I plan on replacing enginge internals but am also planning on running over 10 psi. My ideal output for setup is around 500hp. I know with achieving that there is a good amount of stuff to upgrade, but like i said I am kinda new to hondas but am learning quick, any help would be greatly appreciated.
