Default Wheel Shimmy/Shake/Shudder/Vibration

I had the above at 80-100mph, when i had the clutch done my mechanic noticed my wheel bearing on drivers side wasnt tightened in properly and said it might be worn now.. He tightened it up properly and i noticed the wobble/vibration was almost totally gone.. The wheels were totally balanced and checked and were perfect..

3months on and the wobble is coming back at same speeds... Should i just bite the bullet and get a new bearing? I cant hear any of the droning noises people talk about with worn bearings?

Thanks

I would of bitten that bullet when you knew it wasn't in good shape the first time.

What do you mean the wheel bearing wasn't tightened in properly? Wheel bearings are pressed not screwed in.

how old are your tires? could have lost a wheel weight, or your alignment is off and tires wearing unevenly, and its gradually getting worse. sounds like a tire/alignment issue to me, especially if it gets worse with higher speeds.

OEM wheels? If not do you have wheel hubcentric rings?

-ensure that the axle shafts are properly seated
-check your CV joints
-have the axle nut re-tightened to spec on both sides
-verify that you are using the correct type of lug nuts for your wheel application and tighten to spec.

check some of the things mentioned above as well

good luck troubleshooting-

well it sounds like a question that you need to ask your self...

can you or will you, put up with the shudder?

If not then replace it... posts like this shouldnt be aloud.
