redlining on GSR

Default redlining on GSR

last nite i was racing and on 2nd gear i was too busy looking at my buddy and redlined for like a second. then i shift to 3rd. now im trippen out about if my motor gonna blow or not. is it safe to redline once in a blue moon>? sum1 help me out

Don't worry about it u will be fine u didn't blow your motor.. I wouldn't recomend going over your redline though....

and welcome to HT.com what do u have done to your car???

im assuming the fuel cutoff kicked in. nothing bad is going to happen unless you did not reenforce you motor for those high rpm.

It sound like you hit your stock rev limiter(fuel cut). If its still set at the stock limit then ur perfectly fine. That is designed to keep you in the safe realm of your engines abilities. I hit the rev limiter in my car many times wether it be warming up the tires at the track or just messing around in the snow....and my cars turbo. Your perfectly fine and have nothing to worry about

only worry if you miss shift(accidentally go from 3rd to 2nd at high rpms for example) but hitting redline is coo.

redlining it and hitting the fuel cutoff? i cant even remember how many time have i ever done that specially when ur going side to side racing...ive done it many times and i really dont think its that bad at all just make sure ur oil is at the right level and the car is fully warm...then u should be fine
