p30. vs. p28

Default p30. vs. p28

hey u guys, i was wondering what would work better for an all motor application on a jdm b16, i plan on having a valve train and CTR cams.

p28 = sohc vtec
p30 = dohc vtec

you are putting in a b16a...so there is your answer...the p30 is for a jdm b16a...

If you're going to chip and tune the ecu, they're pretty much the same. The P30 has a knock sensor, which some people prefer, but the P28 is easier to find and chip. And once you put the P30 maps in it, it will run the car exactly the same. So get either one.
