Default sols, lets talk about MPG's!!

i've read the faqs and specifications on all the sol types but i really wanna kno how much mpg's the rest of u sol guys be getting even with your current settings and all.

mines is sohc stock motor and nto heavily modified. it gets like 27-30 in city... a lil higher in highway. i hear that as cars get older, they tend to loose a bit on gas efficientcy too... it probably doesnt help when i be revin the hell outta my sol >.<

anyways.. jus wonderin.. the way gas prices are these days

93' 1.6l vtech currently with 201k miles. slight alterations to the stock box, and an exhaust (with a hi-flo cat & resonator if that matters any)

and the last time i gassed up I had driven 370miles and topped off the tank at 9.6gals. maybe i could have squeezed another 10-15 miles?

of course the whole week i was driving but 60mph 85% of which were freeway miles

I say your mileage (or kilometerage) confuses me.

I get high 20's most of the time dropping off slightly when I beat it.

97 VTEC with 66K on the clock, get anywhere from 20mpg to 37mpg depending on the drive.

With my current 25-ish mile commute of mixed city/highway/country backroads filled with idiots who can't maintain a set speed I've been getting 29 to 31mpg. However impatience hurts, last half tank I had lived in VTEC for extended periods (those blats seem to wake the sleepy country folk out of their daze, for a little while at least), when I filled up (early) I discovered I only got 20mpg. So I'm back to patient driving.

Before I moved I had a 5 mile commute and drove like a bat out of hell on my way to work, all city streets, I usually got 21mpg.

One time I drove back to see the folks, kept the cruise set at 55mph (slightly under 3K RPMs), drove at night to avoid idiot traffic (idiots are well known for their inability to maintain a constant speed), for those 250 miles I got 37mpg.

It seems like a lot of people can't seem to wrap their head around the concept that constantly slowing & accelerating hurts fuel economy, because they do it, then complain about poor mpg.

All these figures are based around premium, mind you, which always seemed to net me an extra couple mpg on long trips in my old shitboxes.
