p28 burnt? smells runs fine tho!?

Default p28 burnt? smells runs fine tho!?

yea so i pulled out my ecu tonight kus i alwasy take it in wit me but um i smelled this smell so i took it apart and look at it and this black square resistor thingy is all cracked and burnt and the ecu cover is black right above that part of the ecu the number next to the resistor thin is q31... its really close to where the ecu plugs go. its in line wit hte middle plus its not hard to miss
PLEASE LEMME KNO WHY THIS MAY HAVE HAPPENED>!

that is a common problem. from the top of my head, what burnt in the ecu was the circuitry for the Intake Air Temp sensor. it usually gets burnt when u plug in the intake air temp plug to the evap purge sensor. car will still run with it burnt though

q31 is evap purge if I remember correctly.
You probably swapped the 2 wire plugs around in the engine bay causing this issue.

now i remember wat happened a friend mines had the same problem and yesturday one of my boy's brother went to go turn the car on and used my ecu and i got it back like that... so he must have that switched plug problem kus my car is perfectly fine lol... this is wat happens when a shop does ur swap u get switched plugs... mean while i did my swap my self.. damn it

mine did the same thing, runs fine tho, i had the IAT and IACV plugs swapped, but for some reason it never threw a code even tho it was burnt up, everything was fine.

i saw it literally glowing orange it was so hot
