i started my car and now i get a buzzing noise! sounds like its coming from my fuel pump but its louder if u put ur ear near the dash area or under the dash... i just put a new fuel filter ,fuel pump, and new ecu in. why does it buzz? what causes it ? 93 civic dx.

Lol, on a serious note:
Can you be a little more specific on it? My mothers car had a constant buzzing noise in it, and I took of her steering column, and a washer was in there flipping around. Is the buzzing noise really loud? Is it persistant?

 

haha.. bees i wish that was the problem lol.. anyway ... well this morning i started my car and it didn't make the buzz noise right away but within like 2 mins it started to buzz.. so i followed the buzz and it comes from my fuel pump o.O i just changed it.. here is the pic of where it is coming from and i got the sound clips.



hmm ok well watch the movie and listen to the 2 sound clips when i got close the the one pipe with my camera u can here like a slurping noise o.O woah could i have a faulty pump ?? or something well here are the links.. check em out , could there be preasure in the line or something?!

i should add that it only makes that noise at idle o.O not when i am past 2 rpm's n up.. and if i sit at a light or something my car gets loaded up with gas..

 

lol, sounds like ur fuel pump is being like restricted or something wierd.. i dunno man... take it apart and put it together again... do it carefully so u make sure u do it right... mine buzz's but it comes from me not bolting down that sheild that goes over the fuel pump
