I just changed my ignition switch in 95-lx, I can not get the key to turn past the "I" position to "O" so I can get the key out. Am I totally retarded or am I missing something, Help!

 

i have the SAME EXACT problem...i havent replaced the ignition switch yet, i unplugged it and the key still wouldnt come out, hopefully somebody can help both of us?

 

I just unplugged the beeper/warning plug, the grey plug on the igniton switch harness and the key works fine, as soon as I plug in the grey plug, I can't get the key out of the ignition.

 

does it happen even when you jiggle and push the key in and turn??

 

yes you must push key in and turn. I'm assuming you got a new key with the new ignition switch?

 

if its an automatic then there should be a line from the ignition to the transmision, that tells your ignition that your transmission is in "P" and you can take the key out

 

one question for you guys that have this problem.. what kind of keys do you have is it the original lazer cut from the factory ones or the one cut from honda.. cause that could be your problem right there cuase its common for the key to get stuck with the original keys
