Stereo / Sub / Amp wiring issues
Gonna try wiring up a sub/amp combo + amp (for in-cabin speakers) this weekend. Got a few questions, about my 5th gen.
1) Where's the best place to run the power cord from? I'm assuming that I'll run it through the firewall, along the passenger door sill, but how do I get the power to the trunk? I really don't want it to run through the cut-out that the back seats provide (not as clean as I'd like). Any suggestions?
2) How do I wire my multi-channel amp for the speakers in-cabin going around the acoustic feedback system? (Know this info was covered recently, but the search isn't doing what I want it to right now...)
3) I have a 4-channel amp to power 6 internal speakers. Can I just power 4, and have the stock unit power the tweeters?
Any other tips you wanna throw my way would be appreciated.

Tip: Go to car audio/video section. They'll be able to help so much better.
Oh and run the power cord along with the remote wire down the drivers side - and the RCAs down the other - or flip flop. But don't run the RCA and remote next to each other. TO much signal noise interference.

i agree... i personally like running speaker wire to each speaker, but you can also use the factory wiring by looping the wires behind the radio...
The best place to run the power wire through the fire wall is on the passanger side behind the cruise control unit there is a nice fat gromet. You'll have to pull back the carpeting at the foot well of your passanger side. You can pull the plastic paneling back to run the wires. You can run all 6 speakers off of your 4 channel amp. Your tweeters and woofers in teh doors are wired together. Tap the speaker wire off of the harness behind the radio. Greens, Purples, Whites and Grays off of the aftermarket harness.
You shouldnt need to bypass the Acoustic Feedback System, but if all else fails you can rip the factory amp out of the back. Hope this helps.
