Ive been looking at tubular-log style manifolds and so far the lovefab and bmc-race mani's have caught my attention. Reasonable in price, and both allow P/S and A/C. However, the lovefab is a full 100 bucks more than the bmc-race. Both offer a lifetime warranty against ANY cracking for the original owner.

Is there anything that either manifold may offer that would offset my opinion to one or the other?

 

We have been averaging a two-week arrival time from time-of-purchase, on the Mini-me manifolds. Other companies, Ive heard have been quite a bit longer. As far as quality, we have yet to see a Mini-me crack and there are QUITE a few out there. Either way we pretty much started the short-tubular manifold, mini-collector craze so go with whoever you want

 

Lovefab all the way

 

I don't regret paying a bit more for my Lovefab manifold, it made unbelievable power and Cody really went the extra mile to make sure that I got exactly what I wanted. Customer service like that has been rare in my experiences in the Honda performance community. The manifold was also outstanding in fitment and quality, very impressive workmanship.

i've seen a few bmc-race manifolds, and i have nothing bad to say about them at all.

i know cody @lovefab personally, and he's always been good to me... he got me forged pistons for my buildup. i called him up to see how fast he could have them at my door. he had them drop shipped..they arrived 21 hours later. UN FREAKING BELIEVABLE. (i had changed my mind on using forged pistons-was going to use vitaras).

cody=best dude i've ever dealt with...and, as an added bonus... everytime i'm at the track, he's there. with his shirt off. haha

 

I personally havn't seen lovefabs in person but i'm sure the quality is top notch. BMC on the other hand ive seen 2 of them, both of which took for ever (one took 2 months) and had inconsistent quality.

If it were my personal project i would pay the extra $100 for the piece of mind and be done with it.

You step out of an S2000 with a red-hot transmission RIGHT next to you, after seeing coolant temps PEGGING your autometer guage at 270°, heat on full blast, and see how long your shirt stays on when its a "cool" 90° outside the car In all seriousness though, I dont get to spend much time in the sun since I started this thing, gotta keep my tan(or lack of it, rather) even

What radiator are you using? I used to have that problem with my Civic on road courses until I got a Fluidyne; now it stays nice and cool.

 

that was with the stock radiator, the last time my shirt went missing after lapping for 20 min. Now Im using a Koyo; temp never went above 205

For a while there I will admit my quality was unstable as there was another person welding with me and we were both welding noobs. I will also admit I don't have a nice 2 week turn around time and struggle to make my 3-4 week deadline most of the time. However I do my best to get stuff done right. I'm liking the clearances for the manifold nuts.

I don't think you could go wrong with either BMC or LoveFab, they'll both take care of you.

 

the spacing of the beads in the picture seems too far apart .

no i think he is saying at that particular time when he sold the manifolds to the guy, that he wasnt as experienced as he is now.

 

I started somewhere too; everyone did at one point. But I have two guys working with me, we handle things pretty well when it comes to back-logs; the quality is VERY high for the price(even if it was more $). We also have insurance, are commercially zoned, etc, etc, a truely legit business. Im not sure of some of my other competitors, but if they are in their homes/parents home, it would be wise to keep the business quiet, as I went though this over the summer(instant drop-of-coverage on homeowners insurance).

This post just gave you and your business alot of respect in my eyes. The ability to admit that you may not always be the absolute best out there and to post it in a mature, professional manner without attacking anyone is very admirable and shows integrity.

he did my custom mani, DP, and charge pipes.

great work and service.

he said if i had any issues to come back and hell fix it for free... if i didnt casue the problem of course...

but i live in houston also so its easy for me, but so far i dont need to return, cuz its good stuff
