i have a small turbo choice problem...
here is my situation:

on my old engine i had a (unknown trim) T3 Turbo which spools @ ~3200-3500rpm on my stock b16 engine.

now i have a sc34 .63ar and 69 Turbine Trim / 57 Compressor Trim and i think the spool up is to late for my driving style (spools at ~4000-4500rpm)

because my engine is burning oil i have to do something in the near future and there are two options for me:


1.) Building my B16 Block with pistons and rods only -> Stay at 1.6L
2.) Build a 2.0L Block... sleeving, etc... the whole program.

second is much more expensive so it would take longer.

my HP goal is at least 300 BHP so i thought about a GT28RS (need a T3 Turbo because of the manifold) with a .64ar Turbine but when i go with the 2L Engine, i guess this turbo would be way to small, or what do you think?

so maybe a GT28RS with .86ar?!

or how whould be the spoolup with a 2L engine with my SC34 compared to the 28RS .86ar?

i know the sc34 can make much more hp then the 28rs... so when it makes more hp i doesn't care ... my primary goal is a good spool up, because i mostly run autox and NOT dragdarcing... so lag will kill fun ;-)
