well, it all depends on how much hp you are lookin at making. stock block is good to 300 hp.

when you say the stock block is good to 300hp... what does that mean in terms of boosting? if I had, say a T3/T4 ball bearing turbonetics turbo, how much psi of boost from that can the engine handle?

well, psi is dependant on the turbo size too.. like a t-78 at 5 psi would blow your **** up, and a 13b at 13 psi would be safe.. there is no "safe". its how well you built your engine and how long you want things to last. for most "sane" 4 cylinder turbos, including your "t3/t4 ball bearing turbo" would probably be safe on a stock b16 at 6-8 psi. any more than that and your pushing your luck. tuning is really the key though. and boost and fuel management. get those things with your turbo and you have control.

and your stage 5 clutch will probably be unstreetable. thats why they are refered to as racing clutches. unless you like doing burnouts every time you stop for a crosswalk at the supermarket its probably not a wise choice. try a stage 2 or something..unless you are gonna trailer your car to the track.

ahh.. good things to know... I know I won't be going turbo anytime soon as I have to finish college before spending that kind of money, but I have been looking into stuff slowly to consider options.... (I don't mean to jack this thread or anything, just thought it was a good oportunity to ask lol)

You should go with a t-66 turbo with Nawz and a Motec system exhaust. That should be safe.
