SRS Light
The SRS light on my dash jsut came on this afternoon and i don't know what to do. I was thinking the fuse or something could be blown or something . Could i get the odbII scanner and check i wasn't sure if that would come up as an error code of some kind. What should i do about this, the car is acting fine but don't want something else to happen!
yeah you can hook up a scanner should tell you whats wrong but tech....you cant drive that thing (from a techs point of few) SRS is your (Forgot Not Safety but we'll go w/that) Safety Restraint System that has to do with your airbags/seatbelts (pretensioner etc) and sensor.......the reason I say techs may not like this is because tech....you should drive this car until the SRS lamp is off.......because this is of course a hazzard. As far as whats your prob........this is where you hook it up to a scanner to find out................
the same thing is wrong on my 96 LX, the pulling the fuse will not work, and no codes come up when autozone scans it, but in one of the stickies, the accord basics, there is a guide to turning off the light. IMO the only other option besides the paperclip reset is taking it to a dealership.
ok i want to fix this like most people i don't want to have to take it to the stealership!!! any one actually taken it there and gotten it figured out where is that honda technichian that is on here????????????????!!!!!?!?!?!
Take it to the dealership.... thats my professional advice. The aftermarket scanners at Autozone or where ever won't be able to access the SRS system. Does your car have side air bags? (it would say on the seat). You can try and pull the codes by following other threads... but it can be tricky to count the flashes.... try it and post the code you get.

this is just out of the blue but if and when you get a scanner hooked up to your car if it says anything about squibs circuit open or shorted then look in a manuel and see whats all hooked up through your clockspring............usually if your clockspring is bad something else in those circuits something else would also be malfuctioning like wipers (and motors) anything that can be wired through that clock spring..........if something else isnt working more than likely it could be that clockspring....................this is just a suggestion and thought............

I hate taking any car to the stealership, but w/ your SRS indicator on, your airbags won't deploy in case of an accident. I'd be safe and have them take a look. My wife's 01 v6 cpe had the srs light on but one of her sensors in her side airbags went bad. take it in and have it checked.
i guess if i take it there i can get my tires rotated and have them look at my motor mounts as to why it vibrates soo much and see why it idels so freakin low! why do u think it would be doing all of that and i need my timing belt changed geez thats a ton of moeny right there !!!!!!
