This is probably dumb to even ask this, but do any of you guys know anything about these "Performance Chip Modules" off of ebay? I know most of the performance parts off of ebay are nothing but crap, but i was just wondering if anyone had tryed one of these or heard anything about them. Any info would be nice. Here is the one i am talking about below.

eBay Motors: PERFORMANCE Chip Module mod HONDA ACCORD/PRELUDE +20HP! (item 8006759843 end time Oct-18-05 21:53:46 PDT)

ok... so.... you are talking about one of those things that instantly give different signals to the ECU to increase horsepower....
It's not that everything off ebay is crap, it's just that most of the "performance" and "instant" stuff can be considered "not so good"....
I don't think it's a good idea to put one of those, and never, have one of those installed on a car with a turbo kit....

How much is it?

Be aware that most of the mod chips are usually resistors that trick the computer i.e. make the ECU think the engine is cold in order to increase the fuel output.

Bottom line; don't waste your time and money. Get something like Hondata AEM EMS.

not everything is bad off of ebay, its just that most of the chips you could find on ebay and previously owned and who knows what they could have done to it, or its a company that isnt well heard of and since noone goes to their website they plug their sales through ebay, top notch companys can be found by searching, theyll be the top of the list cause their better, try your hardest not to get things you need to depend on from ebay

first thigns first.

that is bad.

next

that is NOT a chip.
it is a resistor designed to trick the intake air temp sensor into thinkign the temperature is different than what it really is. another bad idea.

if you really want to go that get the graph that shows resistance to air temp on a honda air intake temp sensor, and buy a selcetiong of resistors, you can usually get for 5 for 99 cents at radiao shack but htat is very high pricing since you arent buying in bulk.
