hate to ask but another iab question.....little confused!!!!!!!!!! searched
heres what i have. i got a 94 gsr car (that caught on fire) and i bought a 99 gsr motor and a 99 gsr harness. now in theory the iab's should work right? no they dont, i am using the obd1 gsr computer. what would be the correct way to wire the iab's so they function properly, please help thanks
The pin layout for the ecu is different. For obd1 the IAB is pinned to A17, when the obd2 harness has it pinned with A26. If all else works, which I don't exactly understand how it would, then You can just re-wire it, or get an obd1 harness I believe.
Break out the multi meter. Your using an OBD2 engine harness in a OBD1 Chassis. They plug in the same meaning they plug in but not all of the wires match up. Mine had an OBD1 harness in OBD2 chassis and it ran and was throwing random CEL's and speedo didn't work. If you can wait til weekend if warm and we'll figure it out
