Default air filter?

i have a 97 prelude set up with a dc sport intake. and i need a replacemtn filter but idk the size to get. i did not put the intake in so im not sure about the size of the tube. also, i couldnt fine just the cone at autozone or pepboys. does anyone know an site where they have them?

take a ruler or tape measure and measurethe diameter of the pipe. i'm sure autozone could order you a K&N if you know the diameter. do some searching on the net and you should find something.

Probably a 3". Dunno about all of them, but my local WalMart sells K&N cone filters

yep. i work at pepboys, and we have the 2.5 and 3 inch k&n cone filters

so you think its either 2.5 or 3 inch? do you know which one?

It's probably a 3", but just go outside, take off the old filter and measure the pipe

thanks alot. will anything get into the engine if i take off the filter for 15min in case i had to go into the store with the old one to compare?

where do u get those. i went to pepboys and i only saw the rectangular ones that fit into stock air boxes

They have them, just ask. If not I know Advanced does, Walmart, Autozone most likely.

i think im going to get the k and n filter. so would the size be 2 1/2 or 3 in?
