Default clutch problem searched

i have a 92 stock si and all of a sudden my clutch is extremely loose and doesn't start to disengage until the pedal is 3/4 of the way down. most of the time the only

way it gets in gear is by it grinding. but when it is in gear the clutch doesn't slip at all. i know i have a bad throw out bearing because of the noise it makes when it drives. i have searched but no similar threads any help would be appreciated.

more likely input shaft bearing, not throwout bearing.

Clutch might have spit a spring causing the grinding gears.

Does it shift fine with the engine off?

sry i asked this question without thinking or trying to fix it, because it happened right before school, so i posted during school.

when i got out i checked the fluid level and it was empty, i put fluid in and there is pedal pressure and works fine. so i obviously have a leak some where but i will figure that one out later thanks for the help.

look down by the clutch pedal where it goes through the firewall, if there is fluid there, replace the master. then look down at the slave. peel the boot back. if there is fluid there replace the slave. these are 2 common occurrences.

Your master cylinder is bad. Replace it and all your problems will go away. Should be under $100 and you can do it yourself in an hour. Be sure to rebleed the system after installation.
