This has been asked an insane amount of times.

But I will say LS because 1.8 > 1.6

i will agree, knowing what i know now i would have done a gsr, but i am happy with my b16. so far. i know i will out grow it. atleast if you do the ls, you have the option to do an ls vtec.

and I think you can probably find a LS swap a little cheaper than that if you look local

i'm not sure if you thought this far or not... but what are your plans? all motor, bolts-ons in a daily driver, all out boost, mild boost, etc....

ls motor respond very well with boost, if you plan to turbo. b16's, like i have, have NO bottom end, but once you are above 4 grand till 8200, you golden. its all a matter of opinion and personal taste. its all up to you. you are the one that is driving it all the time.

b16 vs. LS... me in my b16 swapped 94 hatch, and my buddy in his LS swapped 91 hatch... from a 15mph punch, dead even till 55-60, once it hit 55-60mph, i pulled hard b/c my buddy didnt have the top end. he will soon b/c he is boosting it, but anyhow... just spitting out what experience i have between the two. i'd say b16, but i do a lot of highway driving as well.

you'll enjoy either motor no matter what you choose. they both have their ups and downs.
