Default Spool time for upgraded exhaust

Hey i was just wondering how much faster you made full boost when you upgraded your exhaust from say, 2.25-3" or from taking out your cat converter. Also if you dynoed before and after, could you post the results and your setup. Thanks.

well i was racing someone before on my old ls setup and my exhaust let go right before the cat. so I was running open dump, the gtp was slightly pulling on me but when the exhaust went i went right by him. hmm that sounds like ricer speak right there but my butt dyno felt it i swear it gave me more power! that was a 2.25" crush bent exhaust and stock cat.

I was impressed with the spool time of my gt35r the first time I took it out but then again im running 4" all the way

You will notice a increase in spool time, there are dyno charts around here showing drastic HP increases by going from a smaller to a bigger exhaust, as for how much sooner will your turbo spool it? it all depends on the setup; but it is noticable

big difference. No set-up is the same though, ballpark would be maybe 500rpms at the most

went from 2" to 2.5" no cat no resonator now and my turbo spools 500 rpm sooner. to4b turbo. makes the car more driveable may do 3" later.

On my drag kit on jdm gsr motor I went from approx 2.5 exhaust/dp and cat to 3 in exh/dp and no cat and my spool time went from 4400 to 3500 and i gained 40hp and 20lbs of tq still running the same 9 psi..retuned of course

So hopefully from my going from 2.25 to 3" i will spool even faster then you did. Also how bad would it be to drive without it getting retuned? I will be getting it retuned but should i take it easy before i do that?
