Exhaust Setup Help (What to do?)
I have a 1998 GSR Turbocharged pushing about 8 psi. My question is , I have an exhaust cutout sitting around, and want to know which set-up would be better.
1 - 2.75" pipe from the cat back to the bend in the exhaust, then install the cutout (open to atmosphere).
2 - Get a highflow cat and a 2.5" catback exhaust.
3 - Install the cutout and move the cat backwards on the exhaust. I know this will run the car lean, but when I get it tuned will it be ok?
The car will be tuned.
This is for racing only and a few times for crusing around town. I want the safest/ most powerful setup. I am wanting to keep my car looking as stock as possible so the cutout would allow me to do that. And when I am not running the car I can have the stock exhaust to keep it real quiet.
