I took my exhaust manifold off to change the gasket, so I looked up at the exh valves and they looked white, is this normal, lean condition or what ?

means nothing... could be a little lean but I have seen stock motors with white valves

 

usally it means its too hot, either your mixture is lean or you have a vaccum leak or your timing is alittle to advance, I'm not 100% sure though

Do you let it idle alot before you shut it off? Pull ur sparkplugs and let me know what they look like. I had the issue of my plugs being white, but I was informed that at idle hondas run on the safe side of lean. Now I would assume your valve could be the same way. When you pull your plugs if they are distorted in anyway you might have a problem. I could be way wrong but it will get you started.

 

Usually that would tell me the motor is running lean and hot.
