3rd car, 1st honda
ello everybody, im new here and new to hondas. my brother had a '01 and said i should get one cuz they last. i just brought home a 95 honda accord EX, 5spd, 2dr, gold metalic with tints, with 65k!!!! i know crazy milage for a 10 year old car huh? for 3000$ it has been in a lite front crash and the bumper is still black, resulting a rebuilt title. got a new radiator in there, and a new clutch. it has a vibration coming from the right front section on the car not oo hard but noticable any ideas? i hope it'll serve me well for a couple of years. would anyone be able to run me a carfax?
thanx so much

Welcome to Honda-Tech!!!
Rebuilt title.... yeaahhh.. i know what you mean dawg.... my car is the same thing.... ...but you got a really good mileage in there....
When you have any questions or need any help with something with your car... you can always find good opinions and mostly technical help here... just be sure to let people know what car, year and model, and let people know of what you need!
Peace out!!!!

Is the vibration at idle? Our cars tend to vibrate. As long as the H on the steering wheel isn't moving it's probably nothing to be worried about. If it's excessive it's most likely an engine mount. Or maybe the flywheel wasn't resurfaced when you changed the clutch, assuming you did it yourself.

ummm no actually the vibration is when im driving, i think its the ball bearings but im not sure, and i dun wanna take it to a mechanic cuz they gonna charge like crazy, umm i dunno who changed the clutch before but it feels new except when i want to put it in 5th geer it makes a funky noise that i dunno on how to describe it, also when im down shifting at highway speeds usually from 5th into 4th it makes like a squeeching noise, well enuf for today but if you want you can check out my baby on here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2148896
Ball Bearings as you relate would refer to the hub bearing assembly. B'cuz it carries 1/4 of the vehicles' weight, they are usually accompanied by an audible "Growl" (when they fail) which rises in pitch as you go faster.
If there are no associated noises, and the car has been in a "Bender"; I'd suspect either an Alignment or Tire Balance Problem.
If you feel the car Weebling down the street at creep speeds like a drunken sailor, suspect a broken tire belt.

Very good car, i have the same gen cept a 94 with vtec, they are great cars, keep its maintenance up and it will last you for a good 10 more years. umm like i said get its oil changed every 3k or 3 months which ever comes first, then pick up a new car air filter every year. and the bad boy will last forever, and a nice tune up every 5 years wouldnt hurt either. Congrats and welcome to honda. Ive driven alot of old cars, honda is the best. Nissan maybe a bit funner but hondas reliability wins for the win.

thanx guys, i have just came back from NYC, its about 120 miles one way, drove it around the city some, (which i found realy hard driving the stick in traffic) came back rite now and i still have enough gas to drive to work for the next couple of days
, and i foundd out that my car tops of at 135mph which i dont knoe if it has a governor or it just dosent have more power, anyone knows the anser?
^ i find my car driving like a *drunken sailor* with speeds of over 100mph, it might be a broken belt in the tire but i also heard that it might be the tie rod which it would make it really unsafe
oh and i got pulled over today too HAHAHA. . . no not for speeding. . . but for having my plate behind the rear window, f*kin b*t*h cop, shes like "can i go atleast six months and not buping into you. . . " and taht was coule of blocks from my house. . .

Yeh, I've seen more than a fair share of C.S.P."s out on Route 9, and along the Berlin highway (Rt 15 ?).
Yup, EX (like all Honda's of this vintage) has a governor. And 135 is about it. (Tryed it out on '84, didn't ya?). Surprised you weren't pulled over approaching Waterbury.
