im going out on a limb here...but im gonna suggest putting the new gear in place of the old one...

Are they known for breaking just as easy as the stock OEM one? Why not just use another stock OEM one?

OEM is probably more expensive

I would install it this way:

1. put into trash can
2. install oem GSR/ITR pump

urs will eventually fail and you may have to replace other parts in ur bottom end. They don't warranty their parts either.

Sell the thing on ebay and let it be someone else's problem...

why would you use a b series oil pump in a prelude motor???

but yeah you dont need that gear kid...
